We Heard You! Discover How Your Input is Shaping the KNN's Virtual Community of Practice

This past spring, we asked you to weigh in on the possibility of the KNN launching an online community—how it might fit into your digital habits and routines and, most importantly, how it could create a meaningful experience and space.

Many of you were gracious enough to share perspectives through surveys or brief focus interviews. Your feedback is forming the very foundations of this community.

What did we learn from those conversations?

Here are just a few priorities you shared that we are keeping at the forefront:

  • Conversation on meaningful topics not often covered elsewhere. A place to reconnect with joy and beauty in medicine and put concepts of caring, character and practical wisdom into action to advance human flourishing.

  • Connection and collaboration. A way to form communities of practice locally and with peers from other institutions. Space to find others with similar interests as well as to seek new, diverse perspectives and explore common ground. Opportunities to discover collaborators for research or initiatives.

  • Inspiration and creative space. Practical ideas and innovations to implement, as well as creative outlets for storytelling, art, photography or other forms of self-expression and reflection on KNN foundational concepts.

  • A streamlined way to engage. A single entry point for conversations, resources, events and more. Ability to access, discuss and evolve resources/tools designed to drive transformation in the profession.

These themes and insights continue to inform the community development process. Do you have further suggestions or ideas? Please drop us a line and let us know!

We look forward to connecting with each of you in a new way and accelerating positive change in the profession of medicine.
